PROJECT
Understand root cause in declining engagement data and scope projects to solve issues.
This/the consumer goods manufacturing company launched an ambitious growth and internationalisation programme. A leading indicator for employee engagement within one important and large employee group was showing a downwards trend. Senior executives were concerned that this was linked to the ambitious growth strategy and feared that an acceleration of this strategy would significantly impact ability to attract the best (employees) and to deliver strong growth.
Challenge
It was decided to perform a root cause analysis in order to identify the underlying reasons/causes of the negative trend in the leading indicators for Employee Engagement. and to scope a programme with five to seven tracks/projects, that would address these root causes.
Solution
A task force headed by proacteur was set up with participants from across the organisation:
The task force used a number of different tools and analysed all available People Data
Interviews, focus groups and surveys were conducted with representatives from different employee groups and follow-up surveys to confirm or reject hypothesis
At high level, the root cause was confirmed to be related to the change impact of implementing the new strategy
Six individual projects were identified to address the different elements of the change impact
